¹⁷ “My father David desired to build a temple for the name of the Lord, the God of Israel, ¹⁸ but the Lord said to my father David, ‘You desired to build a temple for my name, and this desire of yours was good, ¹⁹ but you are not the one who will build the temple. Your son who comes forth from your body will build the temple for my name.’
